Biography
Luis Moreno García-Mansilla graduated in architecture from ETSAM in Madrid, where he served as a professor from 1986 until his untimely death. He also taught at the Städelschule in Frankfurt, the University of Navarra, Universitatio CEU College, the International School of Architecture in Barcelona, EPFL in Lausanne, Princeton University, and GSD Harvard University. From 1984 to 1992, he worked in the studio of
Rafael Moneo, and then co-founded his own architectural office in Madrid with
Emilio Tuñón, which received the prestigious Mies van der Rohe Award in 2007 for the MUSAC Museum in León. Mansilla was the curator of the X Biennale of Spanish Architecture and Urbanism in 2009.
