This Wednesday, Spanish architect Luis Moreno Mansilla passed away at the age of 53, who came to Barcelona to present a publication about Enric Miralles.
Luis Mansilla was one of the founding members of the Madrid studio Mansilla+Tuñón, among whose most famous realizations is MUSAC (Museum of Contemporary Castilian Art) in León, awarded the Mies van der Rohe Prize in 2007. In 2009, he directed the X. Biennale of Spanish Architecture and Urbanism.
Luis Mansilla was concurrently a professor of architecture at ETSAM in Madrid and a visiting professor at Princeton University. He previously also worked at GSD Harvard University, EPFL in Lausanne, Nueva Escuela de Arquitectura in Puerto Rico, and Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main.
