The organizer of the Tri An Monument competition has announced the winners of the first round, among whom is the Czech studio CMC Architects. The jury carefully evaluated 128 competition entries from 29 countries. The main goal of the proposed monument is to honor the millions of Americans and Vietnamese who fought side by side against communist aggression in a desire to protect the freedom of the people of South Vietnam. The winning proposal, which will be selected by the jury from three finalists, will be announced on October 29, 2016.
