Palace Bochner The Brno Design Days are held annually in long-unused spaces. In the past, for example, it was the Jalta passage or the functionalist Hotel Avion. This year, it will occupy one of the last original buildings of the Vlněna factory complex, the Bochner Palace. Thanks to the festival, the building, constructed by Josef Arnold between 1864 and 1867 and later integrated into the Vlněna factory complex, will come to life. “The idea of organizing design and architecture days in the spaces of the Bochner Palace immediately excited us. Brno is a creative and innovative place, and the newly reconstructed palace and Vlněna complex are an integral part of it. We are even more delighted that the spaces will be revitalized through this creative avenue, which is very close to us,” explains the collaboration with Brno Design Days Jiří Kostečka, Business Developer at CTP.
Visitors won't be limited to theory In addition to offering a number of installations created specifically for the Bochner Palace or exhibitions of selected student works, participants can try designing their own sustainable fashion accessory or creating an original piece of jewelry. Workshops will take place from Friday to Sunday, and this year's novelty includes workshops aimed at children. Over two evenings, eight collections from both young and established designers will be showcased. Thanks to cooperation with the Embassy of the Italian Republic, visitors will also have the opportunity to see the A-lab Milano collection.
