It will showcase the work of Austrian artist Manuel Knapp. The gallery will present a total of eight exhibitions in 2014, featuring the works of a well-known Slovak photographer, several prominent architects from the Czech Republic, Austria, and Switzerland, the laureate of the Jindřich Chaloupecký Prize, and finally, the work of American artist Christian Helwing. The programming of the modern art gallery in České Budějovice, established by the city, has been focused on contemporary visual art and architecture since 1998. The exhibition of Manuel Knapp will be followed by the opening of works by Slovak photographer Viktor Kopasz. From March to August, an architectural triptych is planned: the first to be presented is MCA atelier - one of the leading Czech firms, followed by an exhibition featuring the European architecture figure - Gion Caminada from Switzerland, who focuses on the revitalization of villages and rural areas, and the summer will be dedicated to an environmental project by young architects H3T from Prague. After the summer holidays, the programming plan includes an exhibition by a Czech artist originally, but who has lived in Austria his entire life - František Lesák. Following him, the laureate of the Jindřich Chaloupecký Prize, Kateřina Šedá, will come to České Budějovice, and the end of the year will be dedicated to American artist Christian Helwing.
