This year's summer pavilion of the Serpentine Gallery by Jean Nouvel will remain in the Kensington Gardens until the end of this week, and there are already rumors about the name of the designer for next year's pavilion, which should be Peter Zumthor.
The Serpentine Gallery has not yet issued any official statement; they usually announce the pavilion's designer at the end of winter, but the name of the Swiss architect has already appeared in several British media outlets led by Architects' Journal. In the past, the Serpentine Gallery has chosen architects who previously had no projects realized in the UK, which Zumthor would meet, since his house in Devon for the non-profit organization 'Living Architecture' of writer Alain de Botton is not expected to be completed until the end of next year.
