Family House Iveta
The absolute winner of the 21st year of the House of the Year 2016 poll, organized by the magazine My House, is the Iveta model house. The house was designed by the Thermo Plus company and built in the Trutnov area. The organizers announced the results of this year's competition this evening. The winning house is two stories, energy passive, and has a usable area of approximately 135 m². Voters had a choice of nine buildings.

"For the first time in history, the expert jury agreed with the voting readers on the winner in the category of Completed Model Houses. The Iveta house received the most votes overall, thus becoming the absolute winner of this year," stated the editor-in-chief of the magazine My House and a member of the seven-member expert jury, Markéta Klocová.

In the category of Individual Houses, readers most frequently voted for a house designed by architects Robert Raise and Martin Kareš. Experts awarded the prize to the joint project of architects Radim Babák and Ondřej Tobola. A total of 42 buildings competed in this category.

"This year, there was a strong representation of above-standard family villas, as evidenced by both the top three positions in the readers' poll and the buildings awarded by the expert jury in the Individual Houses category. All awarded buildings boast top-notch architectural solutions and excellent technical properties," added Klocová.

The winner of the competition is decided by readers voting on the magazine's website or by sending a text message. In addition to the readers, the winner in both categories is selected by the expert jury.
