Dozens of passive houses will be available for viewing during the OPEN PASSIVE HOUSE DAYS from November 7 to 9, 2014. Visitors to this nationwide event will have a unique opportunity to ask the owners about their experiences and gain valuable information. One of the houses that will be open for visits during these days is a standard wooden construction from the Prodesi|Domesi FUTURA NEO portfolio in Říčany near Prague.
Futura Neo is built using cross-laminated timber (CLT) technology, and its specifications meet passive house standards. Known affectionately as "Neonka" by architects, it will be accessible before its new owners move in. The house will be guided by its authors, architects Pavel Horák and Václav Zahradníček, who will present this house from both architectural and technological perspectives.
“ We have never participated in the open days of passive houses before. Therefore, we decided it's time to change that and registered one of our three standard houses, Futura NEO, which meets the passive standard. This house made its debut at the Timber Construction Fair, where it received well-deserved interest. I believe it will capture attention now as well,” says architect Pavel Horák from the Prodesi studio.
Futura NEO is designed for 3-4 people with a layout of 5+kk and a usable area of 98 m2, and thanks to the technologies used, it meets the criteria for a passive house. This house is designed for both conventional two-by-four construction (classic post-and-beam construction) and for the use of cross-laminated timber (CLT). New owners can choose not only the construction technology but also the final appearance of the facade (plaster, wooden cladding, combinations...)
