Radek Suchánek elected as the candidate for the dean of the Brno Faculty of Architecture at VUT

The Academic Senate of the Brno Faculty of Architecture today elected a candidate for the appointment of dean. In a secret ballot, Ing. arch. Radek Suchánek, Ph.D. received 8 votes out of 13 possible. The position of dean of FA VUT for the term 2022-26 was also sought by MgA. MA. Dott. Karin Písaříková, Ph.D. et Ph.D. and doc. Ing. arch. Milan Rak, Ph.D.

Radek Suchánek (*1976 Zlín) is a graduate of the master’s and doctoral studies at FA VUT. During his doctoral studies, he completed a one-year internship at Sint-Lucas Gent. His professional activity has two main branches: the professional practice of an architect and activities related to pedagogical and scientific involvement at the Faculty of Arts and Architecture at the Technical University of Liberec. At FUA TUL, he leads studios, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral theses. He has led the Department of Architecture and the Department of Urbanism, which he also founded. Since 2018, he has been the Vice-Rector of TUL for development and external relations.
