Vizovice - The Czech producer of modular systems, Koma, will introduce a building made as the Czech pavilion for the World Expo 2015 in Milan at the end of September in its complex. Koma then decided to preserve it, incorporate it into its premises, and after transformation use it as an administrative building. People will be able to visit it as part of Architecture Days on Saturday, September 29, said the company's marketing director Martin Hart today.
"The award of the Czech pavilion from Expo 2015 with a bronze medal for architecture and the construction technology used, which is the first award of this kind since the independent Czech Republic was established, proves that modular construction is the future in acquiring buildings for various purposes," said Hart.
The pavilion will feature artworks by Lukáš Rittstein and Bára Šlapetová. There will also be an exhibition of photographs documenting the participation of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic at the Expo exhibitions. "Part of the program includes guided tours that will take us to the modular company restaurant, which was the first completed project by the successful young architects Chybík + Krištof AA. In the future, further expansion will include a modular Development Center, and the entire complex will serve as a Center for Modular Architecture," said Hart.
Visitors will also be able to tour the production areas. More information will be available on the event's website Architecture Day.
The company states on its website that modular systems allow for the creation of buildings for any purpose.
