Krnov - The Krnov City Hall is looking for a new city architect. Interested parties can apply until November 23. The current architect, Lubomír Dehner, has decided to end his cooperation. Dita Círová, the city hall spokeswoman, informed ČTK.
The new city architect is expected to start in early January. The contract will be for four years. The city anticipates that the city architect will work 80 hours a month as part of consultations for the city hall and will receive 500 crowns per hour for this. The total cost of the architect's services over four years is expected to be just under two million crowns.
The applicant should have education and experience in the field of architecture, be familiar with spatial planning and building regulations, and must provide examples of his designs and successful implementations as a condition for participating in the selection process.
The city established the position in 2017. The city architect is engaged in consulting and advisory activities in architecture, urban planning, spatial planning, environmental issues, and heritage care. He collaborates with councilors and officials on the urban and architectural development of the city, the creation of public spaces, and the preparation and announcing of architectural and urban competitions. He is also expected to influence the creation of the strategic plan.
