Due to strong winds, the area of Prague Castle will be closed all day

Prague - Due to strong winds and falling objects from roofs, Prague Castle will be closed all day. The president's spokesman Jiří Ovčáček reported this on Twitter. For safety reasons, the Royal Garden, the South Garden, and the Deer Moat are also inaccessible.

"Based on the recommendations of the Fire Rescue Service and considering the falling objects from roofs that threaten the health and lives of visitors, the area of Prague Castle has been closed until the end of the day," Ovčáček stated.

For safety reasons, the Prague Zoo also remains closed, where the wind damaged part of the hayloft, fences, and some viewpoints. Due to a dislodged roof, the Industrial Palace at the Exhibition Grounds has also been evacuated, where the Designblok exhibition is taking place. The Exhibition Grounds will be closed until Monday.
