<translation>Landscape festival Ostrava 2019 - open call</translation>

Landscape festival focused on landscape, city, and public space announces an open call for projects that will temporarily enliven specific locations as part of the upcoming 7th edition. This year, the festival will present Ostrava in new environmental contexts, with the main theme of the call being the repurposing and redefinition of the significance of seven locations along the route from the historic center to the Lower Vítkovice area and outlining their new connections.
The open call is intended for all creators engaged in the themes of revitalizing public space, urbanism, architecture, landscape architecture, art and design in public space and landscape, environmental art, etc. The application may also be a collective work of several authors.
We are interested in short-term interventions, thematic and performative representations of the given area, minor additions to the urban structure, site-specific installations, temporary architecture, and more permanent landscape interventions and humanization of the given locations. Proposed objects should not have a fixed construction foundation (e.g., concrete bases).

CALL FOR ENTRIES AND JURY
The call is organized by the LANDSCAPE FESTIVAL OSTRAVA 2019

Evaluation of proposals will be carried out by the jury based on their knowledge and experience, therefore it is a subjective opinion of the jury in this sense. By participating, participants express their agreement with this evaluation method.

PROPOSALS
Submitted applications must include:
• project annotation (max. 1 A4)
• estimated budget for the intervention up to 50,000 CZK (including design, implementation, overhead costs)
• visualization or sketch of the project
• list of materials used and technologies applied
 
KEY DATES
• Application deadline: February 28, 2019
• Announcement of winning projects: March 15, 2019
• Implementation of interventions: by May 20, 2019
 
METHOD OF ANNOUNCING RESULTS
• Results will be published on March 15 on the Landscape festival website www.landscape-festival.cz
 
IMPLEMENTATION
• The implementation and deinstallation of selected proposals will be ensured by the proposer in cooperation with the festival organizers.

COPYRIGHTS
• Authors of competition proposals retain their copyright, may publish their competition proposals, and may reuse them in another instance.
• By submitting competition proposals, participants express their consent to exhibit their proposals as part of the promotion of the open call and its results.
• Unselected proposals will be returned to the authors upon request after the conclusion of the open call.
