Litoměřice - Three new sports facilities are planned to be built in the coming years in Litoměřice. These will include an inflatable hall with an artificial turf field at the football club's premises, the construction of an athletic complex with a football field and a multifunctional hall at the site of the former barracks Pod Radobýlem, and the construction of a multifunctional hall between the Gymnasium Josefa Jungmanna and Masaryk Elementary School. This was stated by Radim Tuček on the city website.
The project for the inflatable hall with a training field with artificial turf at FK Litoměřicko is currently the closest to realization. "In this case, we have been intensively working on the preparation of the study for several months now," Tuček stated. The field is to be located between the current football field and the hockey ball arena. A terrain survey is currently planned.
"Young footballers currently have to travel to Lovosice or Brozany for training on artificial surfaces, which costs not only money but also a lot of time," added the city's deputy mayor Jiří Adámek (ANO). According to him, both Litoměřice football clubs, FK Litoměřicko and TJ Sokol Pokratice, will use the field. The estimated costs are around 20 million crowns, with 70 percent of the amount potentially covered by a grant from the National Sports Agency.
For the athletic complex in the barracks at Pod Radobýlem, the city is preparing a project. "This location is the only one in Litoměřice where a similar project can be realized. There is sufficient capacity for parking both personal vehicles and buses,” noted the deputy mayor.
The city is also currently negotiating with the Ústí Region about the construction of a multifunctional hall between the currently under-construction gymnasium and Masaryk Elementary School. The region is working on the preparation of three studies. "A significant advantage of this project is that it would provide spaces for physical education for Masaryk Elementary School. The hall is planned to be used by schools in the mornings, and in the afternoons, sports clubs could operate in it," Adámek added. The construction is to be co-financed by the city and the region, which owns the building and the grounds of the Litoměřice gymnasium.
