Antiquarian and Club Fiducia and the National Theater of Moravian-Silesian invite you to a guided tour of the history and architecture of Hlučín:

From Přemysl Otakar II. through the Hlučín synagogue to Lubomír Šlapeta

Led by art historian Martin Strakoš and poet Ivan Motýl.

Meeting point at the main square in Hlučín.


The tour of the architecture and history of Hlučín is conceived and will be led by art historian Martin Strakoš and publicist and poet Ivan Motýl. Participants will walk from the square to the buildings that will be discussed. Martin Strakoš will speak about architecture - the local old and new buildings, the city walls, the town hall extension, the cultural hall, the functionalist villa, the evangelical and parish churches, and the castle. In Ivan Motýl's rendition, Hlučín's morital tales and legends will be recounted, the buried history will be recalled, along with current gossip and stories about forgotten Hlučín buildings such as the Nepali mill, the fire hose dryer, or the Jewish synagogue.
