Between the Landscapes - student scientific conference at the Faculty of Architecture, Czech Technical University

The first year of the student scientific conference Between Landscapes with the subtitle Permeability organized by the Institute of Landscape Architecture on October 21, 2022.
Permeability is a current topic for landscape architecture (permeability across landscapes, natural, production, and urban landscapes), for urban planners (city planning and spatial organization of areas), for architects (public spaces, building accessibility, connectivity).
It is a contemporary topic, interwoven between fields - in a comprehensive approach, designing green infrastructure for cities, the mobility system, issues of suburban landscapes and suburbs, social permeability, sustainability and carbon neutrality, quality of public spaces.
The conference aims primarily at the exchange of information across fields through interdisciplinary discussion. This is extremely valuable for researchers to expand the spectrum of their knowledge, as well as to broaden the reach of their work. Professional discussion also allows for finding possible solutions to the issue of permeability viewed through the lens of various professions. Conversely, it can also highlight unresolved questions that require further attention. The conference aspires to be held regularly every year (with different topics connecting professions) and to continually expand knowledge across professions. The Institute of Landscape Architecture, with its professional focus, can connect both technical, humanitarian, and ecological approaches.
