Most - The city of Most aims to improve facilities for visitors to the newly opened lake of the same name and the amusement area in Šibeník Park in the center, which has become a popular destination for hikers. Spaces for refreshments and sanitary facilities will be created at both locations. Interested parties can view the visualizations of both projects on the city's website.
Lake Most opened last fall after delays and almost immediately became a sought-after location for relaxation. The strong interest in it continues. A bus stop has been established at the lake, which will be served by a route that currently ends at the church.
The upcoming facilities will offer seating and refreshments to the public. According to the published plan, it is expected to feature two refreshment stands, sanitary facilities, and a base for caretakers and beach operators. There will be a view of the water surface from the terraces.
The Ústí Fuel Combine (PKÚ), which manages the lake, plans to extend sewer, water, and electricity connections from the roundabouts on the southern slopes to the current gatehouse area. "These connections are essential for a comprehensive security management system by creating technical facilities for security, maintenance personnel, and the Integrated Rescue System. At the same time, this will create further opportunities for the development of the area, such as the establishment of facilities for water sports, camping, and so on," said PKÚ spokeswoman Hana Volfová to ČTK.
While an architectural study is being developed for the surroundings of Lake Milada near Ústí nad Labem, only a land-use study will be created for Lake Most concerning the southern slopes. "Based on this, individual areas suitable for various uses will be delineated," Volfová noted.
In the amusement area with a rope center in Šibeník Park, the city wants to build a facility that will include refreshments and sanitary facilities. The construction will connect to a covered seating area. "The shape of the new building respects the mature trees in the vicinity and is designed so that no felling is necessary during its construction. The facility will include a ticket sales counter and a buffet-type refreshment area," the city stated on its website.
