Brno - A few meters of the western curtain wall collapsed today at Špilberk Castle. The cause is likely waterlogged ground due to recent rains. Rescuers with dogs and a crack camera examined the ruins and found no one under the debris. Pavel Ciprian, the director of the Museum of the City of Brno, told ČTK. According to Ciprian's very rough estimate, the damage amounts to ten million korunas.
    The collapsed section of the wall consisted of historical baroque masonry. Statisticians have prohibited access to the grassy area of the western curtain, where concerts of the Babylonfest festival were soon to take place. "This will definitely not be possible now. Access is also prohibited to the western ditch," Ciprian stated.
