Napajedla - Napajedla in the Zlín region plan to build a covered swimming pool and a training hall. The complex is to be located in the sports area near schools. The pool will primarily be intended for sports activities and school swimming lessons, and, of course, there will be some recreational activities as well, said the town mayor Irena Brabcová (Napajedelské fórum-ANO) to ČTK.
The pool is to be 25 meters long, and there will also be a smaller pool for children from the kindergarten. According to the mayor, there should be no problems with the use of the pool as there are about a thousand children in the local schools. Children from surrounding villages and towns, as well as companies, could also use the pool.
The city has set aside one hundred million crowns in its budget for the investment, and it has already secured a loan of fifty million crowns. They would like to obtain a grant for the training hall. According to the mayor, there is sufficient space for the buildings in the sports area, and it is also city-owned land.
The project is now starting to be prepared. "We would like to not only open it but at least break ground during this election period," said the mayor.
The town of seven thousand has approved a budget for this year with revenues of over 142 million crowns and expenditures of almost 186 million crowns. The deficit will be covered by surpluses from previous years. About 60 million crowns has been allocated for investments, which is more than in previous years. However, some investments have been carried over from last year. The city will invest mainly in sports this year.
