ČSOB and the city of Hradec Králové have agreed to postpone the original deadline for the construction of the footbridge near the new regional banking center by four years and one month. This agreement will allow for the resolution of the delay in the construction of the footbridge, which is caused by the city. The footbridge was supposed to be completed according to the original plans. From ČSOB's side, this is a conciliatory step that provides the city with the necessary time for both possible solutions – for building the footbridge according to the current project documentation and for the potential preparation of a completely new footbridge project, including an architectural competition. The more than four-year delay undoubtedly gives the city a safe space for construction, taking into account the necessary administrative processes and procedures for public procurement. The ČSOB building is also being constructed according to the original schedule in the current challenging times, according to which more than a thousand people should be working there by 2021. The agreement with Hradec Králové to postpone the deadline was preceded by complex negotiations and proposals for modifications to the area, which will allow access to the ČSOB building even without the completed forefield. At the same time, it was necessary to newly coordinate the investment plans and related administrative processes so that the city could build the footbridge at a later date. Everything was successfully negotiated and approved, thus opening the way for a successful solution. ČSOB is convinced that the footbridge over the Elbe and its new building will be a significant impetus for the development of the Aldis area as an attractive part of the inner city.
