Prague - Passengers must anticipate transfer limitations at the Museum station in Prague’s metro starting today. The platform for line A in the direction of Motol Hospital is closed for repairs, which will last until May 20. Trains heading towards Motol will only pass through the station. The platform in the opposite direction towards Hostivař Depot is already in operation, with repairs completed in mid-December. “To reach the Museum station from the direction of Hostivař Depot, it will be necessary to travel to Můstek station and then transfer to a train in the opposite direction. For departure from Museum station towards Motol Hospital, passengers can take a train towards Hostivař Depot and transfer to a train on the opposite side of the platform at Náměstí Míru,” said the director of the Prague public transport company, Ladislav Urbánek.
The reconstruction includes the drainage system, cladding, ceilings, and lighting on the platform. After the completion of this work, a third phase in the station tunnel will follow. However, this work will only take place during nighttime closures and should not significantly impact passengers. The reconstruction of the station should be fully completed by September 28.
