Pribram - The bus station in Pribram is set to be transformed into a modern transport terminal within two years. The estimated cost of the renovation is 63 million crowns, of which 58 million crowns should be covered by European grants, with the remainder coming from the city's own resources. The city council will announce a new tender for construction suppliers in the summer, which should then commence in the autumn, Deputy Mayor Petr Kareš informed CTK today. The station will feature a multifunctional building with modern sanitary facilities, a room for mothers with children, an elevator for the disabled, a municipal police office, a snack stand, and an information booth. The terminal will integrate city public transport, buses, and railway services. The project includes the removal of bus stops on Československé armády street. In their place, 66 parking spaces and a new bus stop bay for public transport will be created. "We also plan to install a camera system on the premises of the station, which will contribute to increasing security," added Kareš. The reconstruction of the station has been in preparation by the city council for several years. The city had previously received a European grant for it, but due to an unreasonable increase in the planned budget, the tender for suppliers was canceled and the grant returned. At that time, a project with a budget of 76 million crowns had received a grant of 40 million crowns, with the remaining 36 million crowns needing to be covered from its own resources.
