Slaný – Slaný in the Kladno region is preparing to build a new funeral hall, and the project is currently being developed. The new building is intended to be a more dignified space for final farewells that meets modern requirements. The current hall is no longer in good technical condition and lacks sufficient capacity. The new one will be built nearby. The modifications will also include the surrounding areas, paths, and parking spaces. The documentation should be completed next year, and the exact date will depend on the length of the construction proceedings, said Lucie Krčková, spokesperson for the Slaný town hall, to ČTK today.
The basis for the project is a study of the funeral ceremonial hall and adjacent areas created by the architectural office Prokš Přikryl architekti, which the town leadership had commissioned earlier. Slaný will pay more than two million crowns for the project. "It will involve the project documentation for the new construction of the funeral ceremonial hall in Slaný, adjacent areas with paths and terraces for the placement of burial sites, urn graves (columbarium), quiet spaces both covered and uncovered, all in the area of the former horticulture," stated Krčková.
According to the spokesperson, the project also includes ensuring parking spaces on Na vinici street and securing access roads. The start date for the construction has not yet been determined, but it should be within the coming years. The investment will be in the millions, and the exact amount will be clear after the project is completed.
