Slaný – The leadership of the Slaný town hall wants to establish guidelines for construction in the city, aiming to create transparent conditions for the development of Slaný. A new committee is to create these guidelines, whose members will be approved by Slaný representatives at Wednesday's meeting, and the actual guidelines will be discussed next year. Recently, the city's leadership has noted an increased interest from developers in construction and expects this trend to continue, said Slaný Deputy Mayor Radek Vondráček (ANO) today to ČTK.
The city has several areas designated for construction, and the leadership intends to support development while also wanting to avoid problems such as insufficient infrastructure. "These are projects of a more significant scale," the Deputy Mayor stated, adding that it is important to monitor all indicators such as the capacity of schools or kindergartens.
The upcoming guidelines, therefore, will clarify to investors, among other things, under what conditions the city's leadership will support construction, and they will also include proposals for contracts with investors.
The working group should consist of eight members of the council, one from each political grouping. In addition, the city development manager and experts on law and taxes. The group is expected to present a draft of the guidelines to the council within five months.
The guidelines for construction are also implemented by the largest Central Bohemian city, Kladno, which requires developers to pay a contribution for infrastructure based on the size of the building's floor area. The money can be used by the city, for example, for investments related to wastewater management.
