This was announced today by the Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction. The construction of the southwestern part of the Prague ring road also received the public award of the City of Prague. According to the organizers, the title was awarded for creating a generously conceived transport structure essential for the life of the capital city, taking into account the challenging integration into the natural framework. The Chairman of the Senate's award was given to the Oncology Center of the Faculty Hospital in Plzeň. The new building of the Czech Technical University in Prague - Dejvice received the award of the Mayor of the City of Prague. The Public Award for Building of the Year 2011 went to the revitalization of Old Town Square in Mladá Boleslav. The Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction's award was given to the renovation of the Czech Republic's embassy in Brazil. The jury evaluated the quality of completed works, the quality of architectural solutions, and how well the contractor managed the construction, as well as the satisfaction of the investor and the users of the building. Consideration was also given, for example, to the integration of the building into the landscape framework or the connection of its functionality with other structures.
