Mladá Boleslav - A completely new building is likely to be constructed in place of the dilapidated train station in Mladá Boleslav. Czech Railways (ČD) considered whether to renovate the existing building or build a new one. According to ČD spokesperson Petr Šťáhlavský, a territorial decision has been issued for the new building option. The preliminary budget for construction is expected to be between 60 and 100 million crowns.

A portion of Czech Railways' property is set to transfer to the Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC), which will complete the project. This year, ČD has renovated the waiting area and restored public restrooms. "Further steps will be decided after the sale of part of the facility is concluded, namely the transfer of operational buildings to SŽDC," Šťáhlavský stated. The start date for the work is not yet known; the sale must be approved by the government, and the price is being discussed with the European Commission.

According to a previous agreement, the city was supposed to pay for the modification of the areas in front of the station or the construction of parking spaces. According to city hall spokesperson Hana Koišová, the city leadership currently has no further information on how the project will progress.

The train station was recently renovated in Poděbrady, for example. Repairs costing 12 million crowns included fixing the facade, roof, interior, and surrounding areas of the building.
