We invite you to the next part of the cycle on young Czech architecture, which is taking place as part of , THIS TIME DIRECTED BY THE PRAGUE ASSOCIATION THE EXHIBITION TOGETHER WITH A LECTURE WILL TAKE PLACE THIS THURSDAY, AUGUST 22, AT 7 PM IN DĚČÍN PODMOKLY AT THE CORNER OF ZBROJNICKÁ AND TRŽNÍ STREETS.
Archwerk is a loose association of architects founded by Martin Kloda along with Vojtěch Hybler in 2012. Currently, besides Martin Kloda, the permanent members are Tomáš Feistner, Hana Procházková, and Pavel Uličný. In their "architectural workshop" they create, alongside classic projects of family houses and reconstructions, projects of experimental wooden buildings in the landscape, which they also implement themselves. Among these projects are, for example, the Dome for the Kraličák ski area (realized according to the design by Martin Rainiš), the Lighthouse Strupčice, or the covered fire pit in Chrudim.
"We engage in classical architecture as well as the design and execution of our own experimental buildings, based primarily on structural and technological simplicity, natural materials, and site-specific design.
Buildings realized as a physical experiment, often with our own hands and on a small budget, do not aspire to fundamentally change the perception of space and the boundaries of architecture, but rather to enrich a specific place and community. Small social and construction experiments can arise literally "on the knee," without losing the seriousness of the conceptual and technological dimension. One of our goals is to create an exactly unbounded creative group, modeled after medieval building workshops, capable of designing and executing quality architectural works for the cultivation of (not only) the Czech landscape and society." Archwerk_ Just like always at UKG Děčín, the exhibition will be opened at the bulletin board, and the lecture will take place in the Bodenbach bar (about 2 minutes on foot).
