We invite you to another lecture, which will take place at Závod 01 on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 5:00 PM.

ARCHWERK – architectural studio – Martin Kloda and Hanka Procházková

One of the goals of Archwerk is to create a precisely unbounded creative group, capable of designing and implementing high-quality architectural works to cultivate (not only) the Czech landscape and society. The spiritual father of this approach is Martin Kloda, and perhaps the forefather is Martin Rajniš, with whom he closely collaborated. Archwerk is engaged in the execution of its own experimental buildings, based primarily on structural and technological simplicity, natural materials, and site-specific design.

The lecture is part of a three-month cycle titled Závod 01, which aims to present architecture and art in a smaller town. The idea is also based on the reconstruction (of the space and events) of an abandoned administrative building. The starting event was the vernissage of AVU student Šárka Koudelová, where the first connection between science and art took place. Mineralogist Martin Sýroka, a native of Humpolec, exhibited his own collection of stones and also gave a brief lecture. We want to continue with this concept further; next month, Eliška Perglerová will exhibit her objects - lucid dreaming therapy - and a psychologist will complement the vernissage with a lecture on dream analysis. There will also be other lectures; one is already planned on architect Gočár by theorist Ladislav-Zikmund Lender and others.
