Current trends in British design will be discussed by Deyan Sudjic, who has been the director of the Design Museum in London since 2006. Sudjic was the dean of the Faculty of Art, Architecture, and Design at Kingston University, contributed articles on design and architecture to The Observer newspaper, and in 2002 he served as the director of the Venice Biennale of Architecture. In 2000, he was honored with the Order of the British Empire. In 2010, Deyan Sudjic participated in the Forum 2000 conference “The World We Want to Live In” in Prague.
The lecture series is organized by the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University with the support and under the patronage of the British Embassy in Prague, offering both CTU students and the general public a unique opportunity to personally become acquainted with the current state of architecture and design in the United Kingdom. Admission to the lectures is free.
