Gallery VI PER Vás invites you to the last lecture of the series In Focus: Milano.
The lecture will be an opportunity to present a selection of projects that Fosbury Architecture has created since its inception more than 10 years ago to the present day.
Fosbury Architecture (FA) is a collective founded in 2013 by Giacomo Ardesio, Alessandro Bonizzoni, Nicola Campri, Veronica Caprino, and Claudia Mainardi. FA is a spatial practice interpreting architecture as a tool that facilitates relationships between collective and individual needs; expectations and resources; sustainability and pragmatism; the environment and the human being. FA is a research group aimed at expanding the boundaries of the field, redefining its role, and reevaluating its production processes in light of contemporary challenges. FA is an architectural office involved in urban strategies, the reuse of existing buildings, temporary installations, exhibition design, publishing projects, curatorial activities, and educational programs. Like Dick Fosbury, FA constantly seeks new ways to overcome the limits set by the bar of convention.
Fosbury Architecture is a collective design and research office founded in 2013 in Milan by Giacomo Ardesio (1987), Alessandro Bonizzoni (1988), Nicola Campri (1989), Claudia Mainardi (1987), and Veronica Caprino (1988). FA was the curator of the Italian pavilion at the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale. Other previous curatorial projects include the monographic exhibition Characters at the Magazin Gallery in Vienna (2022), Urban Center in Prato at Centro Pecci (2021/2022), and Milan 2030 at the Milan Triennale (2019). FA has participated in numerous national and international architecture biennials, including those in Lisbon (2019), Versailles (2019), Chicago (2017), and Venice (2016). FA's work has also been exhibited in group exhibitions: Take Your Seat, supported by ADI Design Museum in Milan; The State of Art of Architecture at the Milan Triennale; Re-Constructivist Architecture at RIBA Gallery in London; Adhocracy at Onassis Center in Athens; and Mean Home at the British School in Rome. FA contributed to numerous exhibition models, including Verde Prato (2019) at Centro Pecci, which was awarded the TYoung Prize 2021. Together with Alterazioni Video, FA published Incompiuto, La Nascita di uno Stile (2018), supported by MIBACT and awarded an Honorable Mention for Compasso d'Oro 2020.
Curator of the series: Miroslav Pazdera.
The project was created with the financial support of the Capital City of Prague, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, and the State Fund for Culture of the Czech Republic.
