We would like to invite you to a lecture for students and the public, which will be led by the prominent architectural theorist Jan Sapák. The lecture will take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 18:00 in auditorium G 312, TUL campus, University Square 1, Liberec.
Jan Sapák (*1957 Brno) studied architecture from 1978-81 with Alois Nový at the Faculty of Architecture, VUT Brno, and from 1981-84 with Jiří Kotalík at AVU in Prague. From 1984-88, he worked at SIAL Liberec, and later at Stavoprojekt Brno on hospital projects. In 1989, he worked in Vienna at the studio of Wilhelm Holzbauer. He has been publishing since 1977 in both Czech and foreign journals.
He participated in the reconstruction of the Jánská savings bank, the Capitol Palace Brno Rašínova (together with Škrabal and Grym), the reconstruction of Baas's villa, and the research center in Říčany.
