On Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 6:00 PM, a lecture by Jindřich Ráftl on the topic of Biomorphic Architecture will take place in the F12 auditorium at the Faculty of Art and Architecture at the Technical University of Liberec, Studentská 2. The lecture is organized by Prostor S and the Department of Environmental Design FUA TUL. Ing. arch. MgA. Jindřich Ráftl (*1987 České Budějovice) is a graduate of the Faculty of Art and Architecture in Liberec. He focuses on research in biostructures and deparametric experiments in architecture and design. Currently, he is working on his doctorate focused on Biomorphic Architecture at the FLOW studio at the Faculty of Architecture CTU. In his diploma thesis, he addressed the issue of drinking water distribution in African slums for which he developed a biodigital growth client based on the dynamic growth of Mycetoz. In 2011, he founded an architectural studio named R/FRM, focusing on generative architecture, biostructures, and visual arts. He contributed to the interactive scenography for ballet at the National Theater in Prague. He exhibited and lectured at the Biennale of Experimental Architecture held in Prague in 2013 and 2015. He collaborated on generative clips for the TV channel ČTArt. In 2013, he participated in the development of biointeraction and the application of laser sensors with the research group VOOV. He is the author of generative installations and performances presented at the audiovisual festival Signal 2014 and 2015. He is a member of the team that designed and implemented the Silence Laboratory project at the World Exhibition EXPO 2015 in Milan.
