The international expert conference will outline the possibilities for landscape revitalization after mining from the perspective of various professions, approaches, and metrics. It will present examples of good practice from the Czech Republic and abroad (especially from the Lužice lakes area and the Ruhr region in Germany), including the pitfalls faced by the projects and the necessary self-reflection. The goal is to help the changing brown coal basin of Podkrušnohoří and the pilot project of Lake Milada find a suitable process of revitalization and resocialization in the discussion, which will lead to the establishment of a multifunctionally sustainable landscape.
The conference will address the following thematic areas: Examples of good practice and their reflection What are the pitfalls of revitalization? Who coordinates the lake landscape? – regional, legislative, procedural, spatial planning documentation, tools How to bring the area back to life? – temporary use, habitability of the area, urbanism, events, communication
