The Institute of Building Construction I at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague invites all interested parties to a lecture by guest professor Mirko Baum on the community of architects in Liberec, the SIAL kindergarten.

The lectures are open to the general public.
The lecturer is Prof. Ing. arch. Mirko Baum as a guest professor at FA ČVUT.

The ability to produce cast iron, steel, and iron industrially changed the world. The mass production and price accessibility of these materials meant not only new forms of work from the end of the 18th century, but also a radical transformation of society and its aesthetic, as well as economic-political thinking.

The cycle of four publicly accessible and consecutive lectures is a tribute to the engineers of the First Industrial Period and an exploration of the influence of their work on contemporary engineering practice.

Each lecture lasts 90 minutes.
After each lecture, there will be time for discussion.
