During the development of society, the unregulated landscape was typically understood as the opposite of the sphere of civilization. The presence of wild nature in a modern city can, from this perspective, be interpreted as a symbol of human inability to control nature, or conversely, as a promise of an alternative approach to merging the opposites culturally created during the modernization of society. What is the value of the existence of the former military area by the Chrudimka river in this context? Should it become a place dominated by technical civilization? Or should the existence of a counterbalance be respected, a place lying outside the processes of production and consumption, where we leave space for wild nature? Is it possible to connect these two aspects appropriately? And how does this relate to the urban development of the city and its infrastructure?
