offcity: Taboo and Censorship in Contemporary Art

We cordially invite you to a day of discussion meetings with artists and theorists on the topic of TABOO AND CENSORSHIP IN CONTEMPORARY ART. The afternoon intimate meeting COFFEE WITH ART (15:30-18:00) will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, in cafés in Pardubice (reservation required!), and the evening moderated DISCUSSION PANEL (19:00) will be held at Divadlo 29, Sv. Anežky České 29 in Pardubice.
As part of the accompanying program, there will be readings of banned authors FOCUSED ON VERSES in public spaces of the city.

Are there any taboos in contemporary art? Does censorship have meaningful justification in some cases, or is it just a matter of ignorance or abuse of power?
