We cordially invite you to another lecture in the series OFFCITY ARCHITECTS. This year, we are focusing on architectural interventions, often temporary installations, that raise questions and attempt to respond to current issues related to public space.

ARTUR MAGROT, MARTIN CHLANDA, JAKUB RAJNOCH: PROCESSUAL INSTALLATION
Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 7:00 PM at Divadlo 29 / Sv. Anežky České 29, Pardubice

At the end of January this year, an ice object was erected in Prague's Malostranské náměstí, a four-meter-high ice column that changed its shape for a month, melted, and filled the basin beneath it with water. On February 21, it completely collapsed.
The authors of the installation were Artur Magrot, Martin Chlanda, and Jakub Rajnoch. They named it Processual Installation, and their aim was to contribute to the current discussion about the significance and position of art in public space and about the specific "climate" of Malostranské náměstí. How was the object implemented? What reactions did it receive from the public? How did cooperation with the Gallery of the Capital City of Prague and the Institute of Planning and Development of the Capital City of Prague, institutions that supported the realization of the object, proceed? Did the work achieve the goals set by the authors? Come and join the discussion!

Admission: 50 CZK

Organized by Offcity z.s. in collaboration with Divadlo 29 as part of the OFFCITY 2017 project. This project is realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the statutory city of Pardubice, and the Czech Architecture Foundation.
