On Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 8 PM, a thirteenth evening titled PechaKucha Night Ostrava will take place at the Antonín Dvořák Theatre in collaboration with the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre. Once again, you can look forward to unique experiences with great presenters. In the attachment, you will find the press release, and if you would like to come and see it, please write to my email address. There are 10 tickets available.

"The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre is a sanctuary of Ostrava's culture for us, and it is a great honor for us to present eleven more creative personalities to the audience at the Antonín Dvořák Theatre," says Pavel Krkoška, one of the organizers.

The mix of presenters for Saturday evening is really promising, featuring among others: Talent of the Year from the Grand Czech Design awards Daniel González, the winner of the Czech Press Photo 2013 competition in the Portrait category Jakub Jurdič, versatile artist Vendula Chalánková, the group of wandering creatives Nomad design, and designer Anna Marešová, who gained fame with the Whoop.de.doo set of erotic toys.

Presentations are in the format of 20x20 – twenty slides, each running for exactly twenty seconds, with individual presenters having just under seven minutes to showcase their work to the audience. Thanks to this limitation and the selection of inspiring personalities, the program is engaging and everyone can find interesting ideas within it.

The charm of the entire evening also includes an informal atmosphere and the opportunity to meet with presenters and other attendees during breaks and after the presentations. This time the afterparty will take place at the multi-genre center Cooltour and is open not only to participants of PechaKucha Night.

The event takes place in more than 660 cities around the world; the Ostrava PechaKucha Night event is unique in that it is held in a different space each time. Audiences in Ostrava have been able to see leading Czech artists and creatives in locations such as the Hall of the New Town Hall, the Michal Mine, or the Evangelical Church. The jubilee tenth PechaKucha Night in December of last year filled the Gasometer-GONG, making it the third largest event of its kind in the world.
