Osamu Okamura has prepared a lecture for the Architecture Cabinet in the House of Art in Ostrava about the Japanese realizations of the architectural studio SANAA (Sejima and Nishizawa and Associates). The discussion will focus - unlike the exhibition - primarily on the Japanese realizations of Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa. The social housing block in Kitagata, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, the port terminal in Naoshima, the Multimedia Studio in Gifu, the senior citizen station in Kanagawa, Dior Omotesando in Tokyo and many others - detailed photographs taken on site.
Ing. arch. MgA. Osamu Okamura (*1973 in Tokyo, Japan), a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague and the Academy of Fine Arts (AVU), studied architecture under Prof. Emil Přikryl in Prague and conceptual tendencies under Prof. Miloš Šejn; with a special interest in intercultural relations. The author has visited Japan multiple times and has been a member of the Czech-Japanese Society since 1991. He is the editor-in-chief of the professional architectural magazine Era 21, which focuses on the Central European architectural scene.

A lecture on architecture from the perspective of David Vávra, host of the program Charming Cities.
He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of CTU and the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Together with Milan Šteindler, he co-founded the theater Sklep, which was established in the 1970s in Prague. As an architect, he primarily worked in Prague and its surroundings. He is also known as a co-author and knowledgeable guide of the successful television series Charming Cities.
