This year, the long-awaited book by Helena Čapková about Bedřich Feuerstein and his journeys to Japan was published. Even at the end of the year, it was possible to arrange a presentation of the book with the author, who works at Waseda University in Tokyo, in Nymburk.
The event will take place on Thursday, December 18, at 6 PM at the City Library in Nymburk.
The author will also present the theme of the book through a lecture titled “Nothing material is permanent in a Japanese house – On Japonisms in the works of Bedřich Feuerstein”.
The book “Bedřich Feuerstein – A Journey to the Most Artistic Country in the World” will be available for purchase on-site. The musical program will be provided by a trio consisting of Jan Ritter Jr. on guitar, Adam Havlín on double bass, and Karel Pičman on trumpet. Admission is voluntary. Organized by Gallery JII in cooperation with the City Library in Nymburk.
