Lecture by Franz Sumnitsch from BKK-3 at the FA VUT in Brno

On Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 6:00 PM, Franz Sumnitsch from the Vienna studio BKK-3 will be speaking in the FA VUT auditorium in Brno. The Baukünstlerkollektiv - the collective of building artists was co-founded by Franz Sumnitsch and Johann Winter. BKK-3 has had a fundamental influence on the youngest Austrian architectural scene. The group continues to come up with unusual solutions and informal expressions. Their designs are very flexible and can accommodate a wide range of functions, as demonstrated by the now legendary conversion of the former coffin factory Sargbabrik, for which they received both the Builder's Award and the Adolf Loos Award in 1996.
The lecture will be introduced by Janica Šipulová, who, after graduating from the Vienna academy, works on competition designs at BKK-3.
