Jan Šépka – Work April 15, 2015, at 5:00 PM, auditorium A310 A lecture by architect Jan Šépka, who, in addition to his own work, will also present a new book titled How to Build a City, which documents student projects from the studio of Jan Šépka and Mirka Tůmová for Czech cities from 2009-14. In his lecture, Jan Šépka will outline how his designs are created through eight specific projects and will highlight their artistic, experimental, and playful character.

The thematic afternoon will be dedicated to architectural competitions from the perspective of a juror, a representative of the competition section of the Czech Chamber of Architects, and the most successful competition team in the Czech Republic. The discussion forum will feature Antonín Novák, Petr Všetečka, Ladislav Kuba, and Tomáš Pilař.
Luděk Rýzner – OKPLAN ARCHITECTS April 27, 2015, at 4:00 PM, auditorium A310 OKPLAN ARCHITECTS was founded in 1999 by architect Luděk Rýzner and has established a strong position among architectural studios in the Czech Republic during its fifteen years of existence. For its buildings, OKPLAN ARCHITECTS has received numerous awards from professional critics in the Czech Republic, particularly the residential projects which are regularly published in magazines. OKPLAN ARCHITECTS has previously presented its work at solo exhibitions in the Czech Republic as well as part of various interdisciplinary and multi-genre exhibitions and projects, which have subsequently been presented on an international scale, most recently in New York.
