"Working as part of a team and discussing together is very important. Visit many places and then talk about them."

Momoyo Kaijima is originally from Tokyo. As she herself says, she has been interested in houses since childhood. She completed her postgraduate studies at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and in 1992 she founded the architectural studio Bow-Wow with architect Yoshiharu Tsukamoto. This seemingly carefree name hides thoroughly considered designs based on their own research. Their projects are diverse and are known more for spatial inventiveness than for excessive aestheticization. In 2003, Momoyo was a visiting lecturer at Harvard. She has also guest lectured at the University of Zurich, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and Rice University.
