In the course of the regular subject Contemporary Architecture, Mgr. Ondřej Hojda, Ph.D., will present a lecture by architect Tadeáš Říha. Tadeáš Říha (*1988) studied at the Czech Technical University in Prague and the Technical University in Delft. He currently lives in London and works at the studio 6a architects of Tom Emerson and Stephanie MacDonald. However, he also focuses on exhibitions and writing: In 2018, he was one of three curators of the Estonian pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale – the project Weak Monument in the former church of Santa Maria Ausiliatrice, editor of the similarly named publication published by Park Books. In 2019, along with Kateřina Frejlachová, Miroslav Pazdera, and Martin Špičák, he prepared the exhibition Landscapes of Logistics, and this project is now also heading towards a book format. The meeting in Liberec will be the very first opportunity to hear Tadeáš speak about his curatorial and research work and to discuss with him.
