Modern interiors emphasize aesthetic purity, airiness, and overall simplification of interior spaces. The most prominent design trend of today – minimalism – directly invites a new interpretation of key structural elements, including door openings. Where possible, we are abandoning traditional profiled frames and doors and seeking ways to approach doors "newly" and bring modern elegance into the interior.

The very style of minimalism originated in the 1940s – modern architects and designers seamlessly connect with the original understanding of space by Mies van der Rohe, eighty years later. Clean lines, timeless elegance, and uninterrupted space can thus be enjoyed in our homes and apartments as well.

By installing doors with hidden frames from DORSIS, we bring simplicity and straight lines into the interior, eliminating unnecessary frames, thresholds, and cladding. The goal is simple – to ensure overall simplicity and harmony of all basic elements of the interior and achieve maximum elegance.

"We perceive doors as a permanent design element of a household. They can be dominant and define the aesthetics of the interior, or they can adapt and elegantly blend with the wall," says Jan Krejčí, Managing Director of Dorsis. "The variability of dimensions and surfaces is important to us so that we can always find the ideal solution for builders in every space. Our solution is unique in that we have developed a comprehensive concept of frame-door, not just two separate products. Fortius 52 thus offers exceptional quality and reliability for many years."

WHY CHOOSE DOORS WITH HIDDEN FRAMES?

  • It is a comprehensive product "frame-door" that allows for the selection of a reliable solution for every project.
  • The structure of the hidden frame is made from the aluminum alloy T6060 with specially controlled processing, ensuring strength and long-term quality; the doors do not warp even with prolonged use.
  • The door thickness of 52 mm combined with a robust construction ensures long-term strength of the door leaf. Due to the massiveness of the entire structure, optional elements can be applied – hidden automatic closers, door stops, electric opening, etc.

  • The passage height can be up to 3500 mm, with or without a lintel, with a transom or slant.
  • The thickness of the surface MDF panels is 6 mm instead of the usual 3 mm, which can withstand not only spraying or wrapping but also more demanding decorating.
  • There is practically infinite variability of door surfaces available – from natural veneer to CPL boards ready for repainting or decorating.
  • The doors are treated on all sides (not just the visible edge), ensuring higher resistance in humid areas.
  • Easier and faster assembly – the entire structure is supplied pre-assembled and equipped with protective elements for easy installation.
  • And the ninth reason? They are simply unique and beautiful...
The conceptual highlight of the offer is the Dorsis WOODY concept – a unique combination of the hidden Fortius 52 frame with the Woody framed frame. It is completely free of protrusions, decorative elements, and profiles and fully aligns with the wall. This allows for free engagement with the aesthetics of the space in the spirit of all minimalist principles while also utilizing the design possibilities that the added framed frame offers. This solution looks great not only in modern spaces but also in traditional interiors where there is an effort to combine modern architectural thinking with traditional elements.

"We carefully perceive the requirements of architects and builders and prepare our products tailored to their projects. We passionately admire minimalism and design, but we never compromise on demands for premium quality and craftsmanship. We know that what remains behind us is not just a quality product, but also a precise installation, which is key for the customer," adds Jan Krejčí from Dorsis.
