After ten years in our Prague showroom, we removed ten containers of drywall and rubble. Together with Mjölk architects, we transformed it and filled it with our current windows and doors. The most prominent space in the showroom is occupied by the all-glass collection of windows and doors Skywall by architect Zdeněk Fránek. Here you will also find the Transparent window by Maxim Velčovský or the Levitace window, as well as the complete range of modern windows and doors.
Mjölk architects: The way this company makes itself known, whether through new products or corporate visual identity, appealed to us enough that we embarked on the renovation of their Prague showroom without hesitation. The spaces on the ground floor of a first-republic apartment building have undergone numerous modifications and changes of tenants. And it was greatly noticeable. Everywhere there were drywall constructions, 90s panel ceilings, and a colorful array of various floor tiles. With Jakub Janošík, who was in charge of the renovation, we outlined the basic points of the entire reconstruction right at the beginning. We aimed to get through all the layers to the original structure of the house and limit the number of samples on display. We wanted to move from a room full of windows to a more inhabited interior. It paid off. A concrete ribbed ceiling emerged, and we discovered the original terrazzo under the tiles. Where the original parquet couldn't be saved, new boards were installed. The entire showroom has been cleaned up and appears organized. It is toned in bright shades, and the main focus is, naturally, on the windows. Jakub wished to maintain a Czech touch in the interior decoration. Seating is provided by TON chairs, lights from Bomma and Lasvit illuminate the space, and flowers from Plevel enjoy the vases from Dechem studio. We are pleased that there is plenty to choose from! We are even more pleased with Czech companies that care about where we go shopping.
In the space behind the Levitace window, designer Klára Šůmová created an installation. The central composition features a split dove, referencing history and craftsmanship. The dove motif brings the atmosphere and phenomenon of Wallachia to the Prague showroom. This fleeting greeting from the region where the windows are made is enhanced by the play of colored lights.
