Let yourself be enchanted by the original materials of the switches

So what options do we actually have, what shapes, colors, and materials can we choose from for switches, sockets, and other home devices? When it comes to shapes, you won’t find many purely extravagant pieces on the market. The vast majority of switches are based on a square or rectangular shape. However, round switches are also becoming increasingly popular. Traditional switches with a pure retro look celebrate the very first rotary switches from the early 20th century. Among the evergreens in this segment are retro round rotary switches from the berker series 1930, whether in traditional plastic or a more luxurious porcelain form. Round switches can also be made of glass, whether clear or tinted, and in a purely modern interpretation, which, aside from the original basic circular shape, has nothing to do visually with the forefathers of switches – e.g., berker R.classic. However, there is one series of berker switches that connects the circle and the square… the berker generation R switches. The combination of a round toggle in the center of a square frame scores points for its fresh harmony of these two basic shapes.
