Best of Realty 2012: Zumtobel in the Winning Building

The prestigious competition "Best of Realty 2012" has announced its winners. The lighting solution by Zumtobel and the LUXMATE control system were awarded first place in both the "New Office Centers" category and the "Hotels" category.

The 14th edition of the competition took place in five main categories: Residential Projects, New Office Centers, Renovated Offices, Shopping Centers, and Hotels. The decisive criteria for evaluating the projects were: location selection, urban planning and architectural design, quality of execution, and especially success in the real estate market.

In the category of new office centers, the winner is City Green Court in Prague 4 for creating an excellent working environment in a prestigious location in Prague 4, confirmed by LEED PLATINUM certification. "The jury particularly appreciated the transparency of the building's interior spaces thanks to their illumination with natural light." Natural light is a significant part of the Zumtobel lighting solution, where artificial lighting with MELOW LIGHT V LED fixtures is supplemented based on a central sensor and LUXMATE control according to the settings and requirements of the specific workplace. Emergency lighting is provided by RESCLITE fixtures. Savings from lighting thus contribute to the mentioned LEED PLATINUM certification.
The second place in the same category was awarded to the building IQ Ostrava Office Park in Ostrava. Here, the LUXMATE lighting control system from Zumtobel significantly contributes to the economy and ecology of the entire project.
Also taking second place, but in the hotels category, is Clarion Congress Hotel Ústí nad Labem. Here, the Zumtobel lighting solution primarily ensures the safety of visitors through ONLITE emergency lighting and also through a number of other fixtures, such as PERLUCE and PANOS Q.
