Daily light is an irreplaceable factor that significantly influences human psychology, health, as well as work performance and the ability to concentrate. Therefore, there should be enough of it, especially in the environment of industrial operations. There are several ways to bring natural daylight into the industrial hall and thus ensure suitable working conditions. One of them is side facade lighting, which is specifically focused on by the Rodeca system.
Rodeca's polycarbonate locking panels have been a sought-after lighting element for industrial halls, manufacturing plants, and logistics centers for many years, due to their properties. Specifically, Rodeca has found its place in the market for 50 years, and through long-term development and increased quality, it continues to strengthen its position among competitors.
At a time when the highest demands are placed on modern facades and roofs of industrial buildings, Rodeca can work with them and turn them into its advantages. Not only must the lighting elements protect against weather influences and transmit sufficient amounts of natural light, but they must also meet high insulation requirements, protect against noise, and last but not least be visually interesting. Individual system solutions are divided according to the thickness of the polycarbonate locking panels.
Rodeca starts its systems with a panel thickness of 30 millimeters. These panels are an ideal solution for smaller facades with an emphasis on the economic side of the project. They are manufactured in a hexagonal structure with a U value of 1.4 W/m²K. In terms of colors, this range offers classic clear variants and opal versions. The panels have a width of only 330 millimeters, making their installation very quick and easy.
The so-called mid-range comprises panels with a thickness of 40 millimeters, which have the largest share of total production volume and represent the ideal compromise between price and desired properties. The thermal transmittance coefficient ranges from 1.4 to 0.99 W/m²K depending on the chosen internal structure of the panels. There is an inexhaustible array of colors and various color combinations to choose from. In this panel thickness, Rodeca allows for truly diverse applications, from 3D effects to phosphorescent surfaces and special pigments that reflect infrared radiation, preventing overheating of the interior space.
The highest category includes panels with thicknesses of 50 and 60 millimeters, which are intended for facade and roof projects with the highest demands for the thermal insulation properties of lighting systems. With the use of 60-millimeter lighting panels, a U value of 0.73 W/m²K can be achieved with a light transmittance of 42 percent.
In the Rodeca system, every detail is considered, with various profile options available, including profiles with thermal bridge breaks. Profiles are supplied in natural aluminum, anodized, or optionally painted in the desired shade. To provide fresh air and ensure adequate ventilation of the interior, system aluminum windows can be used, which excellently complement the functionality of the entire system. The Rodeca system solution is supported by precise manufacturing quality. All panels are manufactured with high-quality co-extruded UV protection, ensuring a long lifespan of materials (up to 25 years), while maintaining both mechanical and optical properties.
For more complex projects, CAD details and assembly procedures have been developed, which will be appreciated not only by designers but also by installation companies.
