The professional trade fair for solar technologies Intersolar Europe 2013 will take place for the thirteenth time, from June 19 to 21, 2013, in Munich. Among the two thousand exhibitors, you will also find the German company Schüco International KG, a leader in the field of building envelopes, which will focus primarily on system solutions from the New Energies division at the fair. Products aimed at single-family homes and small to medium-sized enterprises will be presented at booth no. 410 in hall B2. The presentation aims to emphasize and further highlight the advantages of system solutions that allow for the production and use of energy generated from the sun.
Schüco International KG has adapted the product portfolio of the New Energies division to the development of the market environment. In the future, the range will primarily focus on polycrystalline and monocrystalline photovoltaic modules, accompanying inverters, and innovative mounting systems. The segment is complemented by units for managing and storing produced energy. Let's also mention heat pumps compatible with photovoltaic systems and thermal collectors with storage tanks and necessary mounting components.
The 200 m² booth will showcase a selection of the most interesting solutions and technologies
From the area of single-family construction, we would like to highlight Schüco Energy Manager, a lithium-ion unit designed for managing and storing self-generated energy produced from the sun through photovoltaic panels. The device was installed last year and tested for several months in 14 households. The result is a finding declaring an average utilization of 60% of self-generated electrical energy, thanks to the possibility of storage, energy can be drawn not only during production but also, for example, at night. In an average household, only 30% of energy is utilized in parallel with its production. With the possibility of storage, energy utilization can be doubled.
Highlighting will be placed on the benefits of a combined set of photovoltaic modules with a heat pump. The photovoltaic modules 20 MPE 245 PG 04 PV with an efficiency of up to 15.2% partially cover the energy needed to operate a high-performance water/air heat pump. The heat pump type HTE 03 HP DW-7, which is part of the set, is suitable for both new and older buildings. The device, which uses heat from the surrounding air, operates extremely quietly and can cover up to 70% of the energy required for providing hot water for a four-person household. Let's also add a compatible SMA inverter and the Schüco MSE 210 mounting system. This leads to higher utilization of self-generated energy and a reduction in dependence on the public grid. Surplus energy created can be used to operate other devices in the household or sold back to the grid.
In the environment of small and medium-sized enterprises, the company will primarily highlight the diverse mounting systems for photovoltaic modules on flat and industrial roofs. A notable feature will be mobile solar carports. These can be easily constructed individually according to customer requirements. Their role lies not only in protecting parked vehicles but primarily in generating electric energy used for charging electric motors. An alternative is drawing energy in adjacent buildings or selling it to the public grid. The parking area is 5 or 6 m wide, for two or four cars, with a capacity ranging from 4.3 kWp to 10.8 kWp and a 10° roof incline.
The positive economic and environmental impacts of a properly chosen system solution are evident. By combining solar technologies with a heat pump, savings are made in the household or corporate budget, energy is consumed at the location of its production, and all energy needs are covered and planned for the long term. Not to mention the positive impacts on the environment in the form of reduced CO2 emissions.
